Sometimes you just need your Mommy...

Even when you are almost 15 years old. When you get "throwing up" sick for the first time since before you were diagnosed with Diabetes when you were 8, and have to leave school in the middle of your final exams, you just want your mom nearby. You don't want her to touch you because everything aches - but you don't want her to go further than about 10 feet away. And if she goes upstairs to eat lunch so she isn't eating in front of you - but she takes too long - you'll call the home phone with your cell phone to say - "When are you coming back downstairs?" (The basement futon is right next to the basement bathroom - with a TV to take your mind off your aches - so best place to set up when you feel like crap-ola)

I'm happy to report - that after a very rough morning - the afternoon and evening have improved, and E is on the mend. But "mommy" got nothing done that she intended today. Oh well, some days you just have to be mommy.

I remember a young lady that was graduated from college and living in an apartment with her friend Ellen who called me and moaned "I want my Mommy". NOBODY works as well as Mommy when you're sick.
